Martin Gray is a director in the Restructuring Advisory practice at Duff & Phelps and is based in the Manchester office. He has more than eight years of experience in the financial services sector.

Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Martin spent six years working for two of the UK’s major clearing banks as a senior relationship manager within their Corporate and Restructuring departments. During this time, Martin managed a portfolio of complex clients with total debt in excess of £300m, across both bi-lateral and syndicated deals.
In his current role at Duff & Phelps, Martin primarily focusses on debt advisory assignments, pre-lending reviews, options analysis and stakeholder management. These projects involve extensive financial due diligence as well as working alongside management teams in both growth and stressed scenarios. Martin has experience across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, waste, retail and leisure. 

Martin’s most recent assignments include the sale of a high street bedroom retailer to a private equity house; the successful refinancing of a pub chain and brewery; and, providing financial due diligence to a private equity house on their proposed acquisition of an aerospace components specialist.
Martin has a degree in mathematics from the University of Manchester and is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants.
