Michael Brill is a managing director and head of U.S. Private Capital Markets at Duff & Phelps. In this capacity, Michael oversees the debt and equity capital raising activities at the firm.

Michael has more than 20 years of experience arranging financings for public and private companies, as well as large cap and middle-market sponsors, in support of clients’ acquisition, divestiture, recapitalization and growth financing objectives. His clients include companies in the industrial, technology, consumer, healthcare, financial services and energy sectors.

Michael joined Duff & Phelps from Canaccord Genuity, where he was a managing director and head of Fixed Income in the Investment Banking Division. Previously, Michael was a managing director and group head at Barclays and Lehman Brothers, having held a variety of leadership roles in Investment Banking and Capital Markets. At those firms, he was responsible for originating, underwriting and marketing high-yield bonds, private notes, loans and project financings, as well as venture and growth equity. Michael also served as Vice Chairman and Head of Investment Banking at Sunrise Securities.

Michael holds the Series 7, 24, 79 and 63 securities licenses, an MBA from Yale University and a BS from the University of Virginia.
