In the area of intellectual property, Patrick has specialized in the evaluation of damages in infringement, trade secrets, and copyright litigation as well as licensing, management and valuation of intellectual property assets. Patrick has extensive experience analyzing lost profits, reasonable royalties, prejudgment interest and unjust enrichment damages in Federal and State Courts. Over his career, Patrick has also served as a business advisor and consultant in a variety of commercial litigation matters, including those involving breach of contract, business interruption, estate litigation, investigation of accounting liability with financial institutions, professional malpractice, securities litigation, valuation and bankruptcy.
Prior to joining Kroll, Patrick worked at international accounting and consulting firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers and Charles River Associates.
Patrick has authored several articles on the subject of economic damages and has presented on the subject of intellectual property valuation and damages many times during his career.
Patrick earned his B.B.A. from Baylor University. He is a Certified Management Accountant, and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Patrick is also a member of the Licensing Executives Society, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
