Tyler Marion is a managing director in the Minneapolis office and is a member of the firm’s Legal Management Consulting practice. Tyler brings more than 13 years of combined practice and legal operational experience. His primary areas of expertise are contract management, mergers and acquisitions, and legal operational consulting. Tyler has spent the last 9 years developing outsourcing models and managed services for corporate clients. 

Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Tyler served as vice president of operations for the Legal Support Services Group of a leading intellectual property management and technology company. During his tenure, Tyler utilized his understanding of corporate legal structures and outsourcing to advise and implement various managed services to accommodate clients’ global needs. These service lines improved legal operational behaviors by increasing the sharing of information, eliminating inefficiencies, reducing cost, and updating methods of productivity with and without the use of software. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the mergers and acquisitions group of a large health care organization.

Tyler has supported clients in many sectors including technology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, transportation, energy, oil and gas, banking and finance. His clients include many Fortune 100 and Forbes Global 100 companies. He advises these clients on matters ranging from complete legal operations overhauls and software needs, to ancillary managed services and enhancements to traditional forms of operations.

Tyler earned a bachelor of science from the University of Oregon and a juris doctor degree from the University of St. Thomas, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Minnesota.
